Overdue Update

So I have fallen behind again. My mom always tells me that my aunt says that I have not updated my blog. I told her I wasn't going to update yet because I have misplaced my battery charger for my camera so I don't haev any new pictures but I will update anyways. When I do find my charger, I will post many new pictures.
In the middle of March my mom was brave enough to drive with the boys and I to Oklahoma for a visit. We drove the first day to Arlington, TX to visit the Scheib family. This part of the drive took us 10 1/2 hours. It was a long miserable drive for the boys. We stayed there for a couple of days and went to the Fort Worth Zoo on that Friday. Drew loved the zoo. I think he loved being with Calvin and Peyton more than he loved the zoo though. As soon as we arrived at their house he just kept screaming on their stairs because he was so excited to be around them.
That Saturday we drove to Oklahoma City, which was only 4 hours, but was still miserable for the boys. We had the Easter pictures taken of the boys. Of course Drew is not into pictures anymore but he loved the little lamb. More than the lamb, he loved taking the Easter eggs to Grandad. Dayton didn't like being on the grass because it was damp so we only got one picture of him by himself. It turned out very cute though.
While in Oklahoma we were able to see all of the family including Deans family from Tulsa. Grandad put up a slide in the backyard for Drew with a sandbox at the bottom. Drew is such an outside boy and loved it when there was someone to take him out since I couldn't during the day because the wind took Dayton's breath away.
The biggest news of the trip was finding out that Drew and Dayton are going to have their first cousin at the beginning of November. I am so excited to be an Aunt! I cannot wait to meet baby Thomas, or as Jared calls the baby "Sprinkle." This is such an exciting thing for me because Dean will be deploying this fall so I will be able to spend quite a bit of time with the baby.
Dean flew in on April 23rd and we drove back to El Paso the next day. The day that Dean flew in Drew's allergies attacked him so he was sick for our drive back. He was very excited to see Dean though. Dayton had changed so much in the time that we had been away.
We had a good weekend with Dean before he left for the field that following Monday. He has almost been gone a week now and will be home Friday May 8th. We are looking forward to him coming home because he will have a 3 day weekend with us.

Dayton Lane Hurd

So I am a little behind on posting. I'm so sorry to everyone that followed. The newest addition to our family arrived on November 27th, 2008... Dayton Lane Hurd. He arrived 7 weeks early. He spent his first 3 weeks in the hospital but was able to come home a week before Christmas. He weighed 5 lbs 2.6 oz and was 19 inches long. He was big for his age though. He currently weighs 12 lbs and is 23 1/2 inches long. He is very alert and is loved by all. We have been spending more time with him on the floor and letting him play on the sassy mat we got when we had Drew. Drew thinks it is his too. Last night he slept 6 1/2 ounces for the first time. It was nice to get that sleep that I have missed for so long.
Drew is a very proud big brother. Every morning when he wakes up he is very excited to see Baby Dayton and either says Buh or Day for him. Sometimes he will say baby too. He still tries to play hard with him sometimes but is slowly learning that brother is not ready for that yet.

Nothing too exciting... I just wanted to make sure everyone knew about our address change. It has changed from 4220B to 4212B... Everything else is the same. I will post more later....

Pouting in the Bathtub

Here are some funny pictures of Drew at the end of his bath. When the water starts draining out or is completely drained out he will lay down and pout. He won't get out like he used to. It is pretty funny! He is really good about putting his toys away when he is done though.

Pumpkin Carving

Sorry it has taken me so long to post about the pumpkin carving. Kinsey stayed the night on Thursday October 30th, so we cut the top off of a pumpkin for Drew to play. Little did we know, he would not do much playing. Instead he just watched me pull the seeds out. Once I put the seeds in the bowl he would play with them then. He did not like the feeling of the inside of the pumpkin. Enjoy these pictures though!

Corn Maze Fun

On Sunday Kinsey came to town for work so we took Drew to the corn maze. We tried Maze 1, which is the hardest, and came out of the entrance of Maze 2. We decided to try Maze 3, which is the family fun maze, and ended up making it out the exit of that maze. They also had a pumpkin patch there so we went out there to pick Drew up a small pumpkin. We attempted getting some pictures but he was more interested in the pumpkins than taking a picture. It was incredibly hot out there but was a good experience for Drew.

Boo at the Zoo

On Saturday, Dean and I took Drew to Boo at the Zoo. We had never been to El Paso's Zoo so we did not know what to expect. It is a smaller zoo but all of the animals were out to play. Drew loved looking at the animals, especially the Sea Lions. He was able to stand at the glass as they swam by. It was very hot out with his costume on so we did not leave it on the entire time.
